Black Gate makes a whole zoo full of capacitors for low voltage applications. I'm looking for PS caps to drive op-amps and DAC. What are the differences between PK, F, FK, C, N types, etc?
Follow Ups:
Hi NL..
A quick run down of the BG types.. Besides the standard Black Gate (H type)...The PK types are minaturised (7mm height), similar perfomance to the standard BG
The F and FK are imporved versions of the standard Black Gate (lower noise etc)
The C type is made especially for coupling between circuits and stages
The N and NX types are Non polarised. (They contain two symmetrical capacitors in one case to create the bipolarity.)
Black Gates are well specified and sound pretty good, but I, myself think better results can be gained with Elna Silmic (has silk fibre enriched separator paper), at a rather lower cost.
(If you would like more information on Black Gates or Elna Silmic, you may mail me.)
Hope this information is useful to youRob 'Zonklord' F
