Well,
I have a VPI Nomad 1 turntable. I put a set of Herbie's Audio Labs Tender Feet under each corner, four total, removed original stock feet. On top of mdf shelf on my three tier Salamander stand. Sounds better than with stock feet. I recently ordered off of Ebay a set of four Symposium point pads. They were half of retail. Look brand new and described as close to new as possible. My idea is to put these point pods directly under the tender feet on top of the mdf shelf. Do you guys think this would sound good? I talked to proprietor at Symposium today. He initially said put point pads directly under Nomad stock feet and then put on mdf shelf. He told me that any of those soft / semi soft footers are no good. Then after talking to him for a while he told me to go ahead and put point pod under tender feet. He said that maybe I might like it after all. He told me in the end there are so many variables. What do you guys think?

Ter are the rigid spike school of thought and the mushy isolate school of thought.
If the difference is that great it should be immediately apparent
You've posed a question only you can answer through ongoing experimentation.
Yep. I think a round of experiment is in order.
Too much is never enough
