is neither Quantum nor Science. It's just a fuse.
Follow Ups:
Tell yourself that fuses don't make a difference.
I went with the Alan Maher Fourier fuses. Unreal sounding like it's a new level of stereo that I own . It smokes the Synergistic Research purple. The Alana Maher fuse is like having a new component. Best bang for your buck tweak out there.
Alan's products tend to do that :)
I did not say fuses don't make a difference. I am too wary of the belief system here to want to antagonize anyone. I intended to point out that there is nothing about the design of a fuse per se that has much to do with quantum mechanics. I am allergic to products that try to co-opt buzz words in order to sell us the product. "Nano-" is another that I object to.
In fact, one personal experience that surprised me and made me think maybe fuses can make a difference was when I was in a room full of audio gurus (5 people in total and I don't include myself as a guru), and we compared a hardware store fuse to a boutique expensive fuse. Surprisingly, we all felt without exception, and including the owner of the system and the designer and builder of the unit under test, that the hardware store fuse sounded better. We even did an ABA comparison, to confirm what we were hearing.
I had good luck with my Magnepans......changing the 4amp glass body fuse for one of the same spec but 'filled'.......
don't ask why.....I have no idea.
Next step will be to simply rewire to eliminate as many connections as possible and that pesky and largely useless fuse....
Too much is never enough
