In Reply to: RE: IsoDamp C-1002 Adhesive to fix between MDF shelves? posted by KanedaK on February 14, 2021 at 22:52:01
If it's too easy, there's no point :-).
I want the aesthetics as I'm getting Macassar Ebony veneer, my hi-fi rack is prominent in my lounge and bamboo just wont cut it (pardon the pun) and the best audio performance for a reasonable price.

Follow Ups:
This is a bamboo set of shelves I built for an audio friend. It is made from sections of counter top.
it looked much better than I expected when I unboxed the pieces.
He was very happy with the sound he achieved with his equipment on it.
I will say it is very heavy. The shelves were 20"H x 50"W x 18"D and weighed just under 200 lbs.
Brad225:
The rack you built is quite nice!
And the 200 pound weight will be
good for component isolation.
Yep, It sure looks pretty. Just think how much better things would sound with EAR C-1002 footers under equipment.

I have seen transmissibility curves for the C1002 footers (available at Michael Percy) in the lab, and they are a very good bang for the buck as an isolator.
That bamboo rack looks splendid! Must sound great too!!! I'd love to have exactly the same thing!
You might look into the material compatibility of Gorilla Glue Spray Adhesive for the task.
I trust the brand for just about any adhesive application that needs to stay put.

Then again he might want to take the advice of someone who worked at EAR or the advice of the EAR tech department.

True. This forum is a place to discuss various options, including contacting a manufacturers customer service department.
