Okay so, it took a while for that little PSU to finally arrive here: it was sent by mistake in Hungary, and I had received some other customer's PSU, with a different voltage... but the other guy of course contacted the seller and they understood their mistake.
The PSU arrived yesterday morning and I had a brief listening sessions. In my system, it replaces a cheap SMPS supply that came with my heavily modded Trends TA10.1 amplifier (TA2024 chip). The amp is used after an active crossover, on the 500 > 20KHz range, driving 105dB horns.
It took exactly 3 seconds after I pressed "play" to realize all I've been missing, all those years of using the original SMPS. From the very first note, the music flowed in the room with great purity and dimensionality. A great deal of hash and blurring (that I wasn't completely aware of) is now gone. And yes, black is blacker (lol) and silences are more silent. (sorry for the cliché)

For some reason my original post has been amputated of more than half and I can't seem to correct it.
I'm trying to edit it, but everything after "clich..." keeps being erased.
Oh well, I've said the most important part, the point is, if you're on the lookout for some affordable linear PSU, you should definitely go Zero-Zone. Pretty impressive for the money.
Great news, KanedaK! Next step might be an aftermarket AC power cord, and DC umbilical upgrade project.
Tweaking and other upgrades tend to never end within the audiophile path...
Enjoy
Well I bought a cheap power cable on the bay, it is made by a French shop, they use Viborg plugs, and (supposedly) Siltech cable. I strongly doubt about the latter being genuine, considering the price (60$) but it looks nicely built and I wanted something that wouldn't take 3 weeks to arrive from China...
whether I'm gonna use it on this PSU or on my active crossover will be decided after trial. Ultimately, I will need two other cables - the rest has captive mains cable. (speaking of which, I'm tempted to replace the mains cable on my preamp, it's a two conductors cable... suggestions are welcome ;-). )
