You need to determine why the transformer is buzzing. Is it a defective unit or is there something wrong with the unit it is powering? Does it buzz when you power it on or only when connected? What voltage and current is the power supply actually delivering?
You need to do some testing to determine the situation.
Follow Ups:
In addition to what Palustris mentioned-
If the unit is varnished, there may not be much you can do short of mounting it on a damping material or an elastomeric layer-
If not varnished-
Is it an E-I core?-
-if so, are the Es and Is tight in the stack?
If not, you can try loosening the bolts and compressing the stack so that there are no gaps between the E & I laminations in each layer-
If it is a C or R core - you have fewer options as the strapping that normally secures the halves together is a PITA to work with w/o the proper tooling...

Toroids are usually mounted between compliant pads with a bolt holding the sandwich together. Try tightening the bolt. If that doesn't help another brand of toroid may be better. The suggestion to loosen and compress the bolts in an E-I is a good suggestion.
The other factor blamed for buzzing transformers is DC offset on your AC line. I don't think it takes much offset to cause it. There are schematics/DIY/ready-built solutions on-line to remove the DC before the transformer.
I have two buzzing transformers that I must attend to myself. The largest transformers in my system (power amps) don't buzz so I am hopeful that I do not have DC or, perhaps, those are particularly well-made... TBD.
