You seem to disregard the fact that the brass structure is covered with carbon fiber. It's safe to assume that brass was chosen since it helps conduct the stray magnetic fields which are then dissipated by the semi-conductive carbon fiber material. It's the same concept as the Highwire Power Wrap with a copper wire as a core, which is then covered with mu-metal for energy dissipation. I have evaluated a simple brass AC outlet wall plate, and found a basic non-magnetic stainless steel product like Furutech offers to be a better sounding option, but nothing too special since it simply sounds better than a plastic wall plate. A non-magnetic stainless steel Hubbell product can be purchased at Home Depot for much less cash outlay.
"You seem to disregard the fact that the brass structure is covered with carbon fiber." How you could possibly arrive at that conclusion is beyond my comprehension since I have brought up the Furutech brass and carbon fiber faceplate twice so far mentioning the carbon fiber both times. It is brass covered in carbon and glass fiber, not stainless steel covered in carbon and glass fiber, or aluminium, or nickel... Furutech chose brass.

Don't be obtuse. It's perfectly obvious. The point of your post is:
"Affordable solid brass faceplate", "The Fenton solid brass, heavy duplex receptacle $18 with free shipping".
You imply that a brass wall plate without a carbon fiber layer sounds great, and ask for advice:
"I bet it sounds great. Someone let me know."
I'm letting you know, tweaker456.
