I had a line source with NEO 8's. They are not a good tweeter. I switched to true ribbons. Below you will find a calculator for crossovers and at the bottom a attenuation calculator.
Thanks, Mike. You're right: the Neo 8 is not a great tweeter. The Raals make a wonderful difference, and the combination is excellent -- except for (maybe) a teensy bit of brightness that (I believe) can be tamed by the addition of the right resistors. I appreciate your response.
Mundorf M-Resist MOX metal oxide film resistor should suffice. You might consider trying 1 Ohm and 2 Ohm values, since I recall a 2 Ohm resistor being used for the purpose by DIY loudspeaker builders years ago.
Thanks, Duster. I might not need any resistors at all. THe system measures just fine. I am exploring whether my 1uF high-pass cap (a Solen) is making my system sound a little on the bright side. We'll see.
