It sounds like, after reaching an ideal equilibrium last week, the sound of my system is becoming somewhat hard and agressive.
I've installed the new K40y9 on the 10th of February, and they've had only a few hours casual listening per day, I didn't use any "burn in strategy" per se.
Is it possible than those caps are still burnin-in (I guess so) and that this forceful treble comes from that (I would expect burnin caps to become overly dull for a while, not overly bright)?

The K40Y-9 and other paper in oil caps like the Jensen and the Sprague Vitamin Q will continue to improve over the course of a few months. In what kind of amp and in what section of the amp or preamp did you use the caps? If you put them in an area where there is very little DC voltage across the cap to assist with break in,it will take much longer.Give us some more info.

They are used as input coupling caps in a power amp. They don't see much signal as my speakers are super sensitive and I can never crank the volume knob.
