I know Amazon carries Deoxit but is only available standard shipping and would take until next Wednesday to get it. I was hoping to find some sooner. I'm anxious to play with my new toy.
I just bought a vintage Yamaha CA-1010 int amp and am having trouble with one of the switches on the back panel causing the right speaker to shut off every 5-10 minutes. If I play with the switch it comes back on. I am hoping it is simply a switch that needs to be cleaned.
If it matters it's the control that switches between amp/preamp function.
Follow Ups:
Has is with free shipping. It only took two days for me.

I use it instead of the various Deoxit products, but I'm only interested in "cleaning" contacts (not coating/conditioning them).
I couldn't wait :-) I got the back switch fixed this morning with WD-40 specialist. The amp has been playing now for over an hour with no problems except a little crackling from the mono switch on the front panel. I'll have to get that one later.
I took pictures of the inside if anyone is interested. Just have to get them off my phone. The inside is so clean it looks like it was kept in a museum. Eleven fuses to fill with beeswax :-)

The oatmeal fuses were for Musetap who said the iso ward was about as controversial as oatmeal :-)
I've got the Deoxit on order from Amazon. The Yamy will make a good Thanksgiving project gleaning a few more of the switches inside. I just couldn't wait to hear what I bought :-)
Thanks to all for the help.

I'll give Ace a call and see. The Rat Shacks in this area were bought out by Sprint so no luck there either. I do have some CRC on hand so might give that a try.
The Yamaha sure sounded good for those 10 minutes :-)
.
If you just can't wait, run down to Autozone (assume you have one nearby) and grab a can of CRC. Cleans well, non-conductive, and evaporates quickly. I use it on my car, and it's what I'd use on my audio stuff if Deoxit wasn't around. For the specific task you described, it will probably work just as well.
The ones here stock the 5 oz. spray can, and sometimes the
smaller gold varieties.
Your schedule might be an issue but MP can get you the product.

Thanks for the suggestion. I might just have to order some. I found a friend in town with a squeeze tube that I could have, but he warned that the Deoxit squeeze tube is useless and probably wouldn't do much.
You don't say where you are. Guitar Center will have it. They are in most major locales.
There's actually a Guitar Center in Green Bay but I just called them and they no longer carry it.
Sorry,
Can't offer much more help -maybe someone else will chime in. I'm from Canada and I know where to get it here.. no help to you though.
Good luck.
