For RIAA eq, I highly recommend Rel-Cap TFT Teflon caps. They come in 1% tolerance and have a variety of voltage ratings. I preferred the TFT caps over V-Cap TFTF in my tube phono, which is a very high recommendation since I love V-Caps just about everywhere else. PartsConnexion carries the TFT caps.
If you need a non-standard value, I would use two TFT caps in parallel that are as close to each other in value as possible. I would never use two caps of different type such as a Gen 1 and Rel-Cap.

But they don't make those in 2700pF value. I agree I would prefer them over polystyrene, but not by much. Have you tried VCap CuTf? They are a bit better than REL or VCap TFTFs, in my experience.
Back when I tried a V-Cap TFTF in my TIAA, the Copper V-Cap had not been released. In the years since, I have replaced a few of my TFTF coupling caps with the CuTF and I agree with you that the Copper sounds better. But I haven't tried the Copper in my RIAA. I am still quite pleased with the Rel-Cap TFT caps in that spot.
I am a long-time satisfied user of REL teflons, too. I've also used a few VCap TFTFs. IMO, they are both excellent but one is not clearly superior to the other. VCap CuTf do seem to push the envelope a bit further toward whatever it is that I am searching for. Transparency with great bass.
My Quicksilver vintage full function preamplifier uses a plethora of .022uF capacitors in its RIAA. Thus I was able to try Russian SSGs in that circuit, which appealed to my cheapskate nature. They are incredibly good in in the Q, raise the performance several notches. What may hold the Q back from ultimate greatness may be the use of NFB in the linestage section. Makes the sonics a just a tad "thin", but I could live with it if I had to.
