for my audio system? It's called an "Isobar Noise Filter & Surge Supressor(GS) Model # IB-4". It's made by a company called "Tripp Lite" and has a toatl of 4 outlets referred to as Isolated Filter Banks "1" and "2". Each 'Bank" is two outlets vertically stacked as such:
X
X
(50db)X
X
(75db)
One bank being the First Level with 50db in parenthesis under them, and the Second Level has 75db in parenthesis under them. It also says "Isolated protection @ 1.0 Mhz" on it, and there is a "Fuse Reset" button located on the side of the box.It is all metal, has a pretty hefty power cord, and is set up in Box Form
On the back it says:
Transient Voltage Surge Supressor
Input: 120 V 50/60 Hz. Max Load: 15A
Individual and Total Receptacles330 L-N; 330 L-G; 400 N-G UL Listed 58M7
I scored it at work, where I beleive it was being used for computers on a Local Network.
Any info about this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Inmates,

They're a substantial unit whose construction offers lots of mod possibilities (compared to the plastic units that you can't do much with). It is very usable.
He he he he, I can't believe this. About a month or so ago I found a Tripplite Isobar 4 at work after rummaging through our "junk" closet. It too was being used on computers on our network. He he, can you believe that? Yes, it works, pretty good too. It's just as it it says it is: a line conditioner, surge protector. The 75dB outlet has the most filtering.I have a Monster HTS-2000 I have been comparing it to. I'm still toying with it a bit and haven't decided yet if it is better than the Monster or not and how I want to use it (on the CDP, the integrated, maybe in conjunction with the Monster, etc.) I have used it on my CDP and so far in comparison to the $200 Monster it is holding up quite well. There's not a whole of difference although I feel the Isobar seems to inject some what of a forward sound but yet exciting, where in comparison the Monster injects more ease and refinement. This in my system of course. This conditioner has been talked about quite a few times, you might do a search of the Tweaker's Asylum for Tripplite. They seem to be well regarded.
Couple things you can do if you are a tweaker. I removed the receptacles and put in some tighter gripping spec grade receptacles. You can also remove the surge protector circuit which can be easily bypassed. You could wire in a better power cord. You'll see inside it's actually got some pretty good filtering.
Feel free to email me if you have any questions. I learned a lot about the Isobar 4 from "cfraser" who I am sure would be willing to help too.

I am also currently using the Monster HTS-2000 (for about 6 months now). I plan on at least comparing the two...read some generally positive comments about the TrippLite, though Mr. Jon Risch discourages using it due to its' designed intention of use w/ computer equipment, stating that the internal parts (caps, etc.) aren't up to audio applications (which makes sense, if that's truly the case). I have also heard from an industry techie that most of the mid-level Power/Line Conditioners ( Monster 2000, PS 300) can't really provide the power needed for power-demanding components, i.e., power amps, and he further did not recommend using them (maybe the PS 600, and Monster 5000 unit are better ???). I was having trouble powering up my Anthem Int 2 when I initially tried using it plugged into the HTS 2000-the Anthem repeatedly blew its (the Anthem's that is) fuse. On his recommendation, I have the Anthem plugged directly into the wall outlet, and use the Monster with my other components (TT; phono pre-amp; CDP). What's your take on all this?Again, thanks for your (quick) feedback-I have read other feedback you've posted about varying issues/questions, and beleive you to be knowledgable and competent (not that I know anything special and am not trying to be condescending, just sharing my humble thoughts). I was going to ask you what your system is like, and will try and find it in the Inmates System as well.
Take care, and see you again,
Chuckster
