I know it's not a normal suggestion, but the best results I've gotten have been with thin copper foil. I rewired my Pass Labs X5 with runs of 1.5" copper foil, and there was a marked change in the sound (considering the original runs were stranded 10 gauge, that isn't much of a suprise). Just make sure you coat it thoroughly, or alternately, buy some of the Alphacore Goertz MI2 speaker cable from sonic frontiers...rob
I have read somewhere that a "cheap" way to replace the internal wires: buy an Alpha Goertz or cfac foil inductor and spread out the copper or silver foil, cut it down the middle (this reduces the wire gauge, but the runs are short, so it shouldn't matter) and wire the individual runs to the speaker terminals.JB8
