Greetings!
Just thought I'd share my CD polishing secrets. Works well for me, YMMV! You need the following:Orbital sander, with felt or rubber bottom.
Soft (SOFT) cotton cloth. Old diapers are good.
Plexus Plastic Cleaner, Protectant & Polish.
Honda Spray Cleaner & Polish.
Hockey Puck.
The polish is available at most any Motorcycle dealer.I get the best results by using the sander upside down, with a folded cloth on the sander. Set the disc on the cloth, puck on the disc, and away you go. The plexus does an excellent job on the scratches, and the Honda polish puts a very smooth finish on the disc. The puck seems to be just about perfect for pressure. Finish it off with whatever secret formula you use, touch up the edges and away you go!
I have yet to ruin a disc, and I have saved many!
Matthew
