I got a reply from the company that proposes the crossover in question: "I think the X-over will work perfectly in this config. For 2000 Hz 4 Ohms, use 0,47 mH and 6.8 + 22 uF".Thorsten: you mention use the second crossover and optimize one woofer for mids and the other for lows, but in MTM
I would think it is better to have symmetry, so I'm inclined to prefer the first one with woofers in parallel... But again, I'm not experienced and may be wrong - will experiment and see the results later....Kocho
Kocho, just to verify, you got information from LCaudio about the required changes to the XO for an MTM arrangment? I wanted to be clear because based on original info from J. Risch and others, the values for the basic series XO are calculated (for a 1st order version) as normal 1st order Butterworth values. Trying to apply this approach to the LCaudio design looked like you may need to halve the inductor value for the MTM. As I said, I just wanted to be clear because thats great info if it came from the original designer (LCA).Thanks
Steve
Yes, a direct e-mail from them, which I copied in my previous posting to which you responded.Kocho
