Any one know biwire version of CC89259?
How about it's performance compared with CAT5 biwire?
Thanks in advance.
I have made both the cat5 and Jon Risch cross-connected 89529 in biwire. In both cases, I made separate cables for the woofer section and the mids+highs as JonR suggests. To me,the 89529 is distinctly superior and MUCH easier to make. The only disadvantage is the cost of the 89529.If the lenth exceeds a few feet, the cat5 is a bear. Best of luck!
Hey Fred,
Thanks for the comments on the biwire version of both setups.
Have been pondering this myself, but...
That *was* 89259, not 89529, right?
Thanks again,
DF
It is 89259-I'm in a brain fog again. Fred
.
I also biwired using 89259 and am very happy with the results, but expensive compared to Cat5
