    Let me explain why I want to rewire my amps. I bought them few months ago and previous owner has modified them heavily. I want to restore them to original condition. Thats why I have asked which wire do you recommend.

  From my experience the best wire for amp and speaker internal wireing is solid core copper awg24 (0.5mm diameter) computer cable... In speakers this wire must not be longer than 50cm.

  Hi there,

  I nowadays tend to use Nordost Flatline Cable (copper in Teflon) for the ground-wiring and cloth-covered (served) copper-litz wire with some ends in solid silver (30 Gauge) with teflon insulation....

  This mixture seems to work best. Fully silver-wired amplifiers and systems are not to my taste....
