Not a common player in my parts. Before trying to get one by mail order, this would be good to know. I read somewhere (maybe old info) that most DVD players choke on CD-Rs. Thanks.
the reason I heard was the poor surface of the CDR and the excessive power of the dvd player's laser.
Players shouldn't have a problem with CD-R disks; it's the CD-RWs you need to worry about. They are much less reflective than the CD-R disks. My Rotel-971 plays them fine. So do the 951s as I recall. A strange fact is that the 991 I tried played a CD-RW, but not a CD-R! I can't explain why.
