Hi Paco,
I knew you would raise that question once you had looked through the mundorf ctalogue :-)A person I know tested all mundorf caps and settled for the TinFoil(Foil&Film)caps. The key factor maybe the superiority of foil/films over metallised film- the winding process should stress the metallization too IMO
as usual, this guy has not tried their polarity, burning in and weired stuff like this;
After all, donīt forget to try the TinFoils while you are there..
Ciao

hi Philipp, yes, i was impressed by what they say about the
construction of the supreme series, as well as for their
huge size (and price)i've ordered ansar, to begin a series of experiments
with my maggies xovers... i'll post about resultsyet i don't find the "spulen" i need for them.. (good and small)
you said you was looking for litz inductors, so
you may like to open this page, in case you still don't
know it:http://www.lautsprechershop.de/hifi/spul_tri.htm
best, paco
Hi Paco, thanks for the spulenlink; those tritec coils are quite good. However, the ones Mundorf does use conductors thinner than foil(!) aNd have them bond as a whole
so I will stay with the foil inductors I have for the time being
The Ansar caps you have are one of the most interesting to me.
Before you order the Supremes or tinfoils from mundorf, give me a ring,I have them both around and could test them for you.
well, too many other things have been on the list so far, and Iīm a bit lazy
Later
Philipp
