I have a 5 tier metal Target(UK) rack (model BB5) with all 4 vertical columns sand filled. The horizontal "beams" of each tier are not sand-fillable however.
Currently, my machines rest on particle-boards which rest on 5mm sorbothane pieces and then onto the beams of the rack. I was just wondering if Neuance could better the performance.

You could start with just one Neuance shelf for either your CD player or turntable. The price is not terribly prohibitive (under $200) and if you don't like it, you should have no problem selling it on A'gon. In my experience, the Neuance is a major step up from particle board or MDF shelves.

  they aren't too expensive and they do come up used on Agon occasionally. One was just listed for $120. I agree with starting with the source component is a good idea; I've seen many posts that confirm this thinking.
