Daryl, after reading your posts I wonder if you might not be better off sending the unit to Tony DiGiovine at G&D Transforms at 602-650-1155 for the modifications or suggest you buy a service manual for the unit before you go much further....Bob
Bob, I do appreciate both your caution and your advice, not the mention the generosity of time that you and others have extended. I recently started tinkering -- let's call it that because it hardly qualifies as anything more rigorous -- out of a sense of curiousity and because it is a hobby that offers a radical change of pace from my "normal" work. That I might learn something in the process is well, liberating. I speak only for myself, but I think it is a credit to everyone here that they are only too willing to share their knowledge and experience, especially at a time when these have been increasingly commodified and proprietarized.Getting myself a service manual would be a very useful thing to do, and I will look into it. -daryl
