The Flat Earth folks were not the scientists. They believed the Earth was flat because 'They could see it' - Science however, proved them wrong. You sir, would be the one with the 'Flat Earth Attitude'.

Please don't call me "sir", I was an enlisted man i.e. I worked for a living. " The Flat Earth folks were not scientists. They believed the Earth was flat because "They could see it"....." Vas you der Sharley ? There are "Scientists", and there are Scientists. The scientist (the true scientist) has a necessarily open mind so, when he is confronted with a phenomenon that cannot be explained by the currently held scientific beliefs he personally investigates the phenomenon. That is how discoverys are made. On the otherhand, when the "Scientist" is confronted with a phenomenon that the currently held scientific beliefs do not allow to happen he rejects them out of hand because that was what he was taught in Scientist School. I submit that you belong to the former group of "Scientists". This is attested to by the fact that you reject out of hand a great many 'tweaks' because you "know" that they cannot work nor be valid. Not long ago aeronautical engineers who were "scientists" proved mathematically that the bumble bee could not fly because the area of his wings were too small for his body mass. However, the bumble bee, ignorant of that "scientific fact, blithely continued to fly. "May you continue to feel superior and enjoy your journey thru the darkness.

Please stop perpetuating this myth.

There were other "Scientific" "myths" that were perpetuated for quite some time during my lifetime :"There are 96 elements", "An element cannot become another element" (where do lead i.e.Pb come from ?), "An element cannot be created", etc., etc. ad nauseum.
There were other "Scientific" "myths" that were perpetuated for quite some time during my lifetime :
Um... so?
What's that to do with your perpetuating the bumblebee myth?
