Interesting design. Did you construct the stand yourself for this project, or did you use an existing stand (i.e. from an end-table, etc.)?
Looks like it was a fun (if not, difficult) project! Good work.

and that was the easy part, the articulating eye-ball on the back and the gimble attachment engineering was very difficult.
