Am wanting to try a power/line conditioner in my setup which can be seen in my signature.

I do have a dedicated line circuit for my audio and video equipment from the breaker box. My system clearly is louder and sounds better (maybe my imagination) late at night. I live in a 50 year old house in an older residential neighborhood.

Have been reading through recommendations on lower cost power conditioners (Powervar, Oneac). I would like to try one on my integrated amp (Musical Fidelity A300) and/or my TRL modded Marantz SA 14 SACD.

Powervar comes up a lot on searches as being very good if one does some mods on it.
Any links to the Risch mods I see referenced?
Can they be done easily?
I have done some DIY projects (Crump power cords) and I can build computers from scratch. I just don't know the steps to mod a power conditioner. I read something about bypassing the circuit boards on them or something.

ANy help is appreciated and any other cheaper recommendations are welcome.
