I did do more than glance at your post.Maybe I mistook your following statement:...IMO the descriptive term any of us should be using to describe a change in sound quality that some of us CAN'T HEAR. It's no wonder the tin-eared make fun of us when we use terms like that.
I took that to say that you/yourself can't hear changes in sound quality. If this is wrong....I apologize.
And you my good man should be more careful in using statements such as:
Re: Here we go again with the too-puffy words. 'Absolutely profound' is NOT..."Too puffy" is just perpetuating the impression to the outsiders to think that all we do is argue amongst ourselves. Why would they want to be part of that culture?? This hobby is supposed to be FUN...remember?
I was an outsider/newbie once just as you were and thought the audio descriptions were outlandish and nothing but hyperbole but over many years have found a good majority of them to be valid.
My hat is off to your success and happiness.

Follow Ups:
Kenster,Pay him no mind. Some of the folks here just like to criticize, find fault and mock. I guess it somehow makes them feel superior. Same guy gave me a hard time for posting a question about power cords on a specific make of amplifier on the Amp forum. Rather smartass response from him about how I should have posted on the cable forum. Not sure why some folks, when they have nothing helpful to say at all, just cannot keep their mouths shut.
Anyway, based in part upon your comments here about the Oyaide's, I order an SWO-XXX last night. I'll be happy to post follow-up once it gets installed and I've lived with it for a while.
Best Regards,
Mike,You will not be disappointed with the Oyaide SWO-XXX outlet. Worth every penny Locus Design Group asks for it.
The improvement it makes is NOT subtle and depending on the resolution of your system will take it from what you previously thought sounded excellent to sounding downright mind spinning phenominal!!
Get ready for many sleepless nights as you go back and spin your favorite discs to rediscover their real musical message!!
Best Regards,
"Gee, I wonder where I should post this question about cable-- surely NOT on the cable forum!"It's no wonder people on other audio forums complaim about assholes on AA.
