products do what they claim, but I often find that placing them elsewhere where they are recommended often works better. The Shun Mook people like a more diffuse soundstage, and a very lush romantic sound, reminiscent of traditional older tube gear. Again experimentation is of prime importance and you can achieve almost any kind of sound you want.
On their three disc arrangement I find it better to align them vertically at roughly the midrange level of a three way speaker system. It does a great deal to smooth an integrate the drivers.
As for how they work, the wood is a carrier for a piezo electric crystal (I cut one apart). For the small discs you can simulate the effect by placing small quartz crystals on your gear. Try placing them over a TT motor or your spin motor of your CD player.

Hi Stu,Could you kindly enlighten on which part of the speakers for the three discs arrangement.Thanks.

I place them centered between the speakers about the level of the midrange driver. They are vertically aligned and the discs are angled roughly at 45 degrees from line between the speakers, pointing towards the center. Adding a second set stacked on the first adds further improvement. Haven't tried a third set as it got too expensive.
