  Radio Shack catalog #276-142 IR Emmiter and Detector pair.

  They are the standard T-5 (5mm) LED package.

  They might have just the detector too but I have the pair sitting here in front of me and I am too lazy to look it up.

    I think it will fit. One possible issue. The detector I am using has 3 leads, this one has two. Any thoughts on why that is, and what the extra lead is used for?

      Possibly the Base lead was brought out so it could be biased it needed or if the origonal has a metal case it could be connected to the case for grounding.

      Can you read the number off the origonal?
