You're welcome, Xavier. I have noticed that reviews of SRA's stuff tend to be more subdued than those of, say, Grand Prix. I can assure you that it has NOTHING to do with SRA's sonic performance or build quality--both of which, IMO, are superior to GPA's. Anyway, if you so desire, drop a line to SRA's head honcho, Kevin Tellekamp. He's a brilliant designer and one of the nicest guys in audio. He'll gladly answer whatever questions you have. In addition, since most of his designs are custom, he can build anything to size--even for a two-foot-long DAC. Man, I've never heard of such a thing! Who makes it?

Follow Ups:
EVS (Electronic Visionary Systems) made the DAC. Only a small handfull were hand made (no circuit boards) for few __very__ lucky individuals. The DAC itself isn't that wide, but it's got a separate transformer(s) chassis hardwired on each side of the actual unit to eliminate vibrations in the D/A portion.
