My electrician suggested the mod.
I do know that this has been a standard practice for Recording studios and Soundstages for a very long time.
It makes a big difference in the noise of the entire electrical system.

If it is a technical ground you attempted to describe, then you better check the details. All grounds must be bonded at the service entrance. If your technical ground is insulated all the way to a separate ground rod, that ground rod must be bonded to the main ground rod.
