Jim,
Thanks for the information..Some other stuff I left out...
My ceiling is about 9' high. I have about 27" above the windows to play with. I also have 26" above the closet sliding door as well. On the floor of the room I have a office type carpet with some padding underneath it for insulation purposes. I'm not sure what my walls are constructed from, its just standard apt. fare. Not sure what that is though?
Are you saying I should move the equipment rack between the speakers? Right now it is right smack up against the wall. Also the equip rack isn't that high either, only about 2.5 feet or so.
Thanks,
Rick
Hi Rick,> > I'm not sure what my walls are constructed from, its just standard apt. fare. Not sure what that is though? < <
I assume they are sheetrock -- if they do not "shatter" if you put a nail in them; the nail just goes in easily, unlike plaster. The floor covering sounds OK.

Yes. Move them away from the wall, toward your listening position, about 24 inches to 30 inches away from the wall -- whichever position gives you the best balance in your soundstage and the best bass.
The configuration I posted will work perfectly with the "Horizontal" 36" PZCs mounted over the windows and closet doors. The picture of the recording studio has "Vertical" 36" PZCs mounted on the walls and the little Corner Controller PZCs up in the upper left hand corner that you can see.
Above is my listening room with the "Vertical" Mini Echo Controllers and "Horizontal" Mini Echo Controllers, a Ceiling Controller, a 36" Horizontal Controller PZC above the patio doors and a Floor Standing 48" PZC behind the listening position.
If your speakers are about 15" from the side wall, don't be concerned with it if you decide to use the PZCs. As a matter of fact, this is the preferred position for nearfield listening and the PZCs will control harmonics as well as the soundstage and any room anomalies. My speakers are about the same distance from both side walls and with the PZCs my room creates surround sound with two speakers. Michael Green also places his speakers about this distance from the side walls.
So, you can peruse sites on the Internet, but also give a call to MGD toll free at 888-766-6886 and Michael Green will personally review your room, as he does every room that's configured by them. ASC and RPG offers the same service. There is nothing going on in your room that cannot be easily fixed and it doesn't require any technical skill to install PZCs or to adjust these devices, on your part.
Best wishes,
Jim
