Inspired by zog's survey of isolation devices, I decided to try these ($125 from Music Direct) against my faithful Vibrapods. Under the CD transport (ML 37) they surely work, giving better-defined everything. You have your more controlled bass, your better resolved background burps and wiffles, your audiophile blackness and soundstage depth. This is a difference as large as a cable switch (but less than a component replacement), but big enough so that the improved clarity can be heard from the next room. Even at the now inflated price above (due to the yawning hole the greenback is still falling into), these are well worth the asking price. They appear to be ceramic roller devices with an added damping ring - the $ bring you 4, but I found three to be better, and they would hold hundreds of pounds if they had to. Experiment with their positioning, it does make a difference. Highly recommended for those looking for significant improvements for a "finished" system.

Work great under turntables too. I have mine under a maple platform and a P3 2000 table.

I use them under my tweeter/ midrange units of my VR4-JR speakers (upside down on top of 4 DH squares). They work way better than the cheesy VSA supplied spikes in my opinion.
