I've had excellent results with Signal Cable plexiglass lifters; not bad looking, not expensive, and a nice improvement in clarity over cables-on-the-rug. However, one caution - in experimenting I've encountered stone lifters that make cables sound much worse. So as usual, some fun experiments are required to get the best from this high-bang-for-the-buck tweak.
