Most nail polishes are acetone based. This could well strip the finish / printing off many electronic components. Also the black will obscure any identification markings on components.

It seems from my limited reading that the Musicoat is IPA soluble. If I was experimenting I would start with using French polish (shellac) dissolved in IPA or industrial alcohol.

If you do, please post your findings here. If it's not successful then its easily removed with its own solvent.
