  Vibration, vibration, vibration. I lined the entire case with Dynamat and got a significant difference in bass depth, strength, and impact and in general resolution and focus. I've also got it on vibration-controlling feet and a rigid stand... and have a Sorbothane mat and weights on the top.

  I replaced the power cable with a heavy-gauge solid core one... lower noise floor, again more bass.

  I haven't played with the caps yet... those Wima and Philips caps are likely candidates. Also Auracap AC filtering seems to be a good bet.
