Anybody in the forum a lawyer or know a patient attorney. I would think if you changed the size of the puk in any dimension you would not be making the same thing. Also the slope of the grind etc. I can see nothing new or clever about a ball in a cup design. There must be previous patients which are close in design.
Any way sorry to hear another story, where some people having some fun, have to worry about another lawsuit potential!!!

unless I misunderstand, the problem is with the machinist. He is the one who wont make them.
simple solution; find different guy to make them.
I doubt it would make a good case anyway since roller balls have been widely used in this 'hobby', long before he [whoever he is] got his little pattent.
the machinist obviousy doesn't understand + probably doesn't care..
he's just covering his astroturf.
