How can I improve my B&W 601 (maybe change internal wiring?)

I have opened the speaker and find four wires (with no marks on it ). would it be smart to change the wires with speaker cable wires?
all I can find is Audioquest wiring (solid core), and should i put single wire or put two (or three?) wires together?

can you see through the woven cone to see the pole piece? I'd see if the conical dust cap could be removed & replaced by a rubber phase plug. That's my chief personal beef with that speaker anyhow. Or, see if you can buy a N805 replacement driver from your dealer. Then, you can look into (in order) ...
1) box treatments
2) XO components
3) straw the port
4) wiring
5) speaker posts

  Has anybody hot-rodded an B&W Matrix HTM ? Its an Matrix 805 turned on its side.
  Does anybody know the value of the coils, i.e., what can I replace them with? The caps and resistors are marked so replaceing them is not an issue. If I go that far I'll pull the xover out of the box and remake them as external x-overs; so size of the coil is not that important.
