What op-amp should I get to replace MC33079P quad op-amp in my MF A300 integrated amp?

I had the same doubt in the MF A2. I ended up just bypassing the PS rail of the op amp and the result was freighteningly good. See by post above on bypassing.

Does BrownDog make 14-pin adapters? I could only find 8-pin. Also, what do you think of OPA4132 and OPA4227/8?

Here is a link to the SOIC to DIP-14 adapter. I haven't heard those particular opamps to comment on them but I would venture that teh FET based (4132, 4134) opamps will sound better than the current one you have.
