I have a Yamaha Cr 620 Receiver that with in the last several months has developed a problem in the FM band as it seems to struggle to pick up FM stations as strong as it use to!In fact it is picking up less stations then before!Seems like I have more noise or multi path showing up on the FM tuning meter, then I recall in the past!AM band is about the same maybe slightly worse at pulling in stations compared to when I first got it! I am the 2nd owner & it has never been repaired.I opened it up & cleaned all the switches several years ago,but that is all!Everything else works fine!Any ideals what to look for?Bad diode, caps etc.?Wheres a good place in WI.to have this fixed,if I can not do it myself with some help from here? Thanks!
Follow Ups:
It was my Roku 1 being to close to the tuner like stated! But even after I moved it farther away it was better but still was not as good as I thought it could be! So I switched Roku's around & put the Roku 1 upstairs & the Roku Express Plus in its place. That made the CR 620's Tuner come alive again!Thank's again for all the help & advice!
It is quite possible that there are some components in the tuner section that have 'gone south' - could be a diode - but more likely a cap or resistor - possibly even an op-amp or transistor-
Getting a 'tuner alignment' may solve the issue - if you can find a tech that can do it-
if the problem affects both the FM and AM, then the issue could well be in the AM section for the cub-carrier signal or the MPX section-

Some one on the Vintage Asylum mentioned about a Roku being close by can cause the problem so I am going to check that first! I do not think that alone is causing all the problems,so if there is not much improvement,I will need a good place in WI. to take it in & have it realigned! Thanks for your advice & help though!
In the 'Audio' article there's a design for a spread rhombic with a wider pattern.
If it were me with all those stations mostly in one general direction I'd build that.
