If you wall plate/s have the old friction fit coax connectors chnage over to F-connectors.
Lower loss, better contact, and they last longer.

AGREE with the RG6 recommendation. However, the issue of rotation motor control remains. Does the OP's installation use a bundled cable?

I know nothing about rotators.
Almost all of Canberra's FM stations here transmit from one high tower on top of one of Canberra's big hills.
And, there are two repeater sites on two hills, one right beside where we live.
