I do not leave my 101 on unless I am listening. Drift between power -ones is probably a failing capacitor in the front RF section. The 101 at this point is 35+ years old and many of the electrolytics may have dried out. I had c50 fail on the power supply board and that caused the muting relay to buzz. It was an easy fix. If you send it off to Accutech for the alignment, have them check that cap and the caps in the RF section too. Then you'll be good to go for many more years.

Thanks, that's pretty much what I had decided to do, but now I will have a place for them to start.

My T-100 failed many years ago and the repair guy said it was heat-related so if I had a T-100 I would keep it off. It should only take a few minutes for any solid-state tuner to reach thermal and electrical equilibrium.
