See my response above. It has got to be something like that, maybe a bad cap. There are about two gazillion little electrolytics in the circuitry.

Maybe you could talk one of them into shipping. It's hard to say, since most people seem to use CL because they don't want to deal with the whole online transaction thing. Might be worth a shot, though.
Yup -- something about solid state circuit design seemed to make electrolytics start breeding like flies ;-)
The KT-7500's a pretty good tuner -- it might be worth spending some lucre on -- or, in this day and age, it might be easier to just snag another decent tuner (they're not exactly in high demand any more) and move on.
