Purchased two 12ax7 Amperex bugle boy tubes. Both have the bugle boy logo and divided into 4 sections on top with round getter or halo. One has 12ax7/Ecc83 made in Holland with a following:
65 or 68 (on right side at bottom)
46F3 638The second Ecc83/12ax7 (with longer plate - than the one above) and looks like the example in the picture in tube world(on left)of the two 1962 bugle boys with different logos, Image URL provided below:
where it shows I quess what is date on upper left side of:
62
05This one shows
7
42
and 47G on the bottom right.
Can anyone tell me anything about this second tube, is it an
amperex long plate and if 7 42 is the date(I haven't heard or seen of
any mentioned that old). Second would this be a problem using with the other bugle boy as a matched pair? To be used in Jolida JD100 CD Player.
Follow Ups:
Hi Rodney.
that is not a matched pair .and they will be different sound specially using them on your CD player . not a good idea .try to get either one more of them and then you can have a match pair .
