  did you Remove the network? And if so, did it involve the removal of the 390 pf cap as well as the 82pf/18k parts? Did you like the change?

    Yes, I removed the network by completely removing the (2) each 390PF caps, 82mmf caps and the 18K resistors from the board. I like the change, to me it seemed to open up the amp--to my ears it sounds more airy. The ST-70 has been used that way for a year now with no problems. I'm using an FM3 tuner, an upgraded PAS3 as a preamp and ADS L810 speakers. (circa 1978)
