The EI "fatbottle" is a beam tetrode; that makes it a 6CA7.

Eli,Thanks, again. If that is the case and the construction is closer to the US made 6CA7---I'd expect a much colder, cleaner, potentially louder tone than the slim bottled East Euro made EL34 (or E34L).
In guitar amps---the 6CA7 gives Marshall amps kind of a Fender-like tone. These tubes get a 100 watt lead head unit to sound more like a Fender Twin (which has 6L6GC).
