Hi Nicolas. By the sound of it you need some permanent solution to 'what substitutes for what' - and as a tube seller you are looking for ways of describing and selling your tubes. Some ways of doing this yourself:
a) Get a book of tube substitutions - this gives you families of tubes that are similar and can be substituted.
b) Look on www.duncanamps.com. Search on tube data, and when you enter a tube you will find identical and close substitutes listed.
c) Get a book like the Vade Mecum, which lists most tubes and their specifications, and equivalents.
d) Learn a bit about tubes by reading something like Morgan Jones book Valve Amplifiers (Amazon). You need to know what mu is and how to calculate it, for a start. Then go on to transconductance and other parameters.Since you are sitting on a mountain of beautiful tubes, it would surely enrich you life to do a little learning about your treasure. Andy
