Looking to try a Tube Amp. Will I get the "tube sound" if I run it through my Rotel integrated for a pre-amp? Hoping to go all tube in future. Thanks Joe
I take it the Rotel has "preamp out" jack to run interconnects to the amps... you could certainly use this as a stepping stone for assembling a tube system, but the Rotel would have to be viewed as needing replacement as soon as possible-- the old addage "garbage in/garbage out" is never more true here. The higher resolution of the tube amp would showcase the sonic deficiencies of the Rotel... a tube preamp and competent SS amp is the way to go if you can't go all tube. You may want to look at a Jolida or Conrad Johnson all-tube integrated. Chris
