Chris,I believe a little while back you said you were going to or were in the middle of doing a home comparo between these two line stages. Did you, and if so, what conclusions did you reach?
FWIW, the dealer I bought my M60s from is getting in the Mantissa for an evaluation, and he will pass it on to me when the time comes for an audition if I'm interested. Just one week to go until my M60s arrive!
I've been listening to them both for a week now (I've had the Mantissa for 2 weeks). I'm going to listen some more this weekend and post my impressions later this week. Quick bottom line: Both are excellent, the Mantissa seems to me to provide more detail, the Erato seems smoother. More later.
ChrisAre you using the preamps in an all-digital system, one exclusively vinyl, or both?
If vinyl enters the picture, what are you using for a phono-stage? I have heard that Emotive Audio will put out a phono-amp next, and will be curious about that. Does the Mantissa have a phono stage option (I don't remember whether such was mentioned in past reviews)?
Good deal. Since neither has an informative website, would you be kind enough to list the basic features and operability of the two as well? Inputs, outputs, vol control, impedances, etc... I'd appreciate it!
