Well.... :-)
Did actually stood confuced over an 6L6G a while ago. On one tester it was most unstable - as dodgy handled tubes can look the first hour - while on the other it ws most stable and meassured just fine. What did that indicate? Eh... Tried anoter 6L6GT and it was defunkt on the tester that did test the 6L6G just fine, while okeyish on the oter tester. No indication? Did run a third 6L6, a G, and it was all fine on both. So how did the tubes work then? Okey in a curcuit :-)As most AVO testers run on rectified - but not filtered - power that may be a cause... (There are not much more than transformers, selectors and meters inside, hardly a cap in sight...)
