It is powered on at all time in my AN DAC1. Thanks.

what do you have the filamnet set at? Your plates should be around 110volts in the 1.1. The tube is really run easy but why not install a standby switch, leaving the digital board on but powering down the analogue board? Also the regulator tubes will last much longer if you power down this section.ja in, we got rain, Tucson, AZ
John,A little drizzle here, in LA, too. The Red Banks 6094 are working fine in my guitar amp. You've gotta learn the axe. Playing live is like the biggest shot of testosterone (provided you hit the correct notes).
Darn Peter Green and BB King vibrato is giving me arthritis.
Any Mullard GZ34's, out your way?
steve
I haven't seen any 34's for some time. I did pick up a five pack of 6201 Gold Brand Sylvania today. I don't use them but the price was right and you never can tell. They are always good for trade. Been listening to the VT231 Sylvania. Pretty good sound. I converted my DAC 1.1 to use one and I like the big open solid sound. It makes a lot of miniatures sound anemic.I used to play the acoustical guitar; I enjoyed it but was never that good. I also played the sax and had a lot of fun with that. Still play the harmonica from time to time.
Have you heard Clapton's latest release, Reptile? I like it. but it sounds over mixed to me.

John,Haven't heard his latest. but, folk say that his concert in Seattle was awesome. He even broke out his Strat "Blackie" for a Layla. The post said he even played some Bluesbreakers songs.
Oh, to have that Marshall amp! Twin MOV KT-66 driven to infinity by a real Gibson Les Paul '59.
