I have a moscode 300 and the right channel is lower than the left. I'm wondering if it is the tubes so I was wondering if I could sub something else, 6dj8?
Follow Ups:
Mark the tubes with Fine point Sharpie pen ( I like red ) and then document where they are to provide a starting reference. And play the shell game, swapping tubes around. If no difference, you need new components, or have a problem elsewhere (speakers ?). Most likely to go bad over time are coupling capacitors.
6GU7s are cheap and plentiful, with bigger plates and higher plate dissapation than 6DJ8's. Don't think I would try the 6DJ8's. You might want to try 6CG7/6FQ7's though, which should plug in and be pretty close. Some like the RCA clear tops if you can find' em.

Since all four tubes are the same, which one's could I switch to balance the output level?
